Destiny & Johnny Become One

I was contacted by a friend of mine asking me if I had August 5th open. I checked and I did and she told me her sister-in-law needed a photographer. I told her to have them call me. I talked to Johnny (also known as JT) on the phone and we set up a time to meet at Starbucks.

I met with Johnny and Destiny, also known as JT and Danielle, and since we decided that we could all definitely make this day what they had been dreaming of they were put in the calender. We talked about the specifics, when to take the pictures, who they wanted to make sure to get pictures with, colors, how many people in the wedding, and all of the other fun details that go with photographing a wedding. We also talked about Brandon coming to video, and they accepted, which was great news for both of us as we continue to build our company.

The day of the wedding I arrived at the Boutwell at 4:00 to start taking pictures. First comes the decorations and the cakes, food, and of course everyone getting ready. These little details are small, but the only way to truly capture the day for JT and Danielle forever. So many times brides do not get to enjoy the hard work on the day of their wedding, and photography allows them to go back to the memories and be there again.

The girls were ready to go and some of the guys. We did some pictures inside the Boutwell on the stage that was set up for the ceremony.

After the indoor pictures and while we had time we walked to Linn Park and took some fun and gorgeous pictures in front of the fountain. This is also where JT and Danielle saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. The girls created a wall in front of Danielle and she was turned around. When JT came up they left he touched her shoulder...and then magic! The first time that the bride and groom see each other always has special meaning to everyone involved. I am glad that the magic will be theirs to remember and share forever. The bridal party and several other pictures were taken in front of the fountain then it was time to get back across the street. It looked like a storm was coming, but fortunately nobody got wet. We also needed to get Danielle behind closed doors so that she would awe everyone when it was her moment.

The moment came and her dad walked her down the isle. Joined by her mom they gave her away to JT. When the time came to walk back down the isle this time it was with JT and as Mrs. Taylor.

The reception was fun for everyone who was there. There was dancing and of course the tossing of the bouquet and garter. These were caught not only by people in the wedding party, but they were girlfriend and boyfriend. This always means a good time with the pictures as far as I am concerned!

When it was time to leave the applause came with bubbles, hand holding, and a kiss from the new happy couple. JT and Danielle make a beautiful couple and I know I was blessed to be able to have a part in their day! I was happy to do this, and I am so glad that I was there. I wish them happiness today and all of the tomorrows! I know there will be many blessings and special moments in their lives. Congratulations to both Danielle and JT!

Baptism Blessings

Being asked to be at Morgan Makenzie's baptism was a special moment. Kimy and Steven are like family to us and this was an event we would not have missed. Brandon and I asked if they wanted photographs and a video of this special time and they did. We were glad to be able to do this for them.

There is a picture the day that my mom and dad brought me home from the hospital of Kimy holding me. Well she is propped up on pillows, and I am propped up on her, she was only 6 months old. This is how long I have known her. She s truly like a sister to me and I am so thankful that in 30 years we are still a part of each others lives. I am sure that it will be the same 30 years from now.

Kimy, Steven, Morgan Makenzie, Deborah and Tony all joined Clear Branch Methodist Church on March 6, 2011. This alone was a special time, as it is always great to find a church where you feel welcome. Finding somewhere that makes it possible for your relationship with Jesus to grow. This is what they found at Clear Branch. They chose this day to also have Morgan Makenzie baptised.

The ceremony was truly a special one as Kimy and Steven told everyone that they would raise Morgan in a Christian home and ask everyone to prayer for her as she grows in her own Faith. After the ceremony was a nice lunch prepared by Roselle (my mom) and Sybil. This was a great time for everyone to come together and celebrate the day and each other.

Thank you again Kimy and Steven for letting Brandon and I be a part of your special day. It meant so much to us. We love you all.
