The Redwine Family

Merry Christmas in July from the Redwine family.  These pictures were taken in December at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover Alabama.  The family was all smiles and the weather was absolutely amazing!
The "little girls" were adorable and had a great time breaking off from the whole family and having some time by themselves.  While everyone watched they posed and smiled like they were supermodels.  It was a lot of fun for them and for me.

Being a teenager is always fun, but can make picture time with the family ackward for many.  Teenagers are a lot of fun, when they want to be in front of the camera.  Fortunately for me these two teens were amazing!  They smiled and were up for pictures alone, together, and with the family.
Happy and enjoyable parents are always fun.  They smile and in their eyes you can see the love that they have for each other.  This sets an amazing example for others and most importantly for their children.

The Allison Family

The Living Social Deal that I ran did some amazing things for my client list, but not because I made a lot of money (that is definitely not the case) but it did allow me to meet some very amazing people. The Allison family is just one of these great families that I have been able to get to know. I am hoping that these are not one time clients, but clients that I can continue to work with for many years to come.

This shoot was at the Aldridge Gardens in Hoover. The day was a little overcast, which can be a good thing for pictures. It was a great location giving a great variation for backgrounds.

If you want to capture those little moments with your family let me know. My calendar is full but is never too full for new or repeat clients.

Ewa and Janek Mroczek

When Ewa called me and set up a session for pictures I was so excited. Ewa and Janek were married, but in New York and they wanted some pictures here. She also wanted pictures in the gown she got for her reception since most of the pictures on their wedding day she was in her ceremony gown.

Newlyweds are great at all times for so many reasons. They are happy and in love and so affectionate. They know that they are blessed with many tomorrows but do not take them for granted.

Love at it's perfection is what I saw when I met Ewa and Janek. They were so much fun to work with. They are definitely a beautiful couple and just seem to fit perfectly.

They chose to have the pictures done at Aldridge Gardens. We still had some fall colors, but many of them were on the ground with the recent rain. It was beautiful though.

The weather was a bit concerning at first as it had been raining off and on all day. Fortunately we were blessed with a window of time without rain, in fact it came as we finished up.

Alexa is Two Months Old

Let me start by saying I cannot believe that Alexa is already 2 months old. She has grown so much and is such a sweet baby. I am so glad that I have been able to be a part of her life, at least capturing her at different points for her mom and dad to cherish forever. I am already ready for her three month pictures. So many cute ideas.

For these we went to the Aldridge Botanical Gardens in Hoover. We wanted to make sure we had some in her Halloween costume and since they had the pumpkins and the great fall colors it seemed like the perfect place.

I am so glad that we went there. It was cold and we had to work fast but it was a great day.

If you want to capture those little moments for your little one contact me and we can make it happen.

Beautiful Bri

Bri has just turned thirteen and one of her gifts was a photo shoot with me. This was certainly an honor for me and I had a wonderful time. She seemed to have had a great time too.

We chose to do this at the Aldridge Botanical Gardens in Hoover. The fall colors were in full force and the day was absolutely perfect for a photo shoot.

I do not think we duplicated one pose as we walked the gardens and let Bri have a good time modeling.

She is a beautiful girl and was great to work with. I hope to be able to work with her and her family again soon. It was a great day with great company. As a photographer there is not much more that can be asked for.

Bri had a beautiful smile and a beautiful personality. I had to ask her if she watched America's Next Top Model because she definitely knew how to smize....or smile with her eyes.

If you want to work on your smize give me a call.

The Baker Family

This photo shoot was the first time I met the Baker family. They are a beautiful family and they loved to smile, which is always nice to see especially when it is picture time.

We did these pictures at the Aldridge Botanical Gardens in Hoover. It was a great time of year with so many trees at their peak fall colors as well as some leaves on the ground, making for perfect pictures.

This was one of many Christmas sessions that I have this seasons. More coming soon.

Shelley and Jason Say I Do

Terri of Terri Lynn Photography asked me if I could join her for a wedding at Aldridge Gardens on May 1, 2011 of course I said yes. I had been to Aldridge Gardens, but not for wedding so I was excited. It is also always nice to work with Terri.

We arrived at Aldridge Gardens a few minutes early so that we could acclimate ourselves with the area and find out where everything would be taking place. This is always a plus for photographers, at least for me, as I like to know where everyone is going to be and when.

Jason, the groom was there first with his family, not long after was Shelley with her family. We started with the groom who was just ready to be married and call it a day. He was looking forward to the wedding, but was very excited about being married. We got shots of him with his family, alone, the flower girl and Ring bearer, etc.

After Jason was done with his pictures it was time to let them see watch other. Terri walked Jason down to a bridge and I went and got Shelley. They were both pretty anxious. As we were walking down all Shelley could see was Jason's back and all Jason knew is we where headed there. Then we turned Jason around and everything about both of them started to radiate. There was joy, and excitement in their eyes.

Then we got shots of Shelley and all of her family, attendants, etc. Then it was time to do pictures of them together. Getting the formal poses out of the way really relaxes the whole atmosphere of a wedding. The bride and groom always seem more together and there is nothing taken away from the ceremony. I am good with doing these however the bride prefers though!

As the time for the wedding drew closer we wrapped up formal shots and gt Shelley inside and Jason in place. The ceremony was very nice with their vows done under an Ivy arbour. Very nice and quite gorgeous for photographs.

The reception was very nice as well, with a few dances...one the bride and groom and the other the bride and her dad. Then it was time for the bride and groom to say their hellos and they tried to get a quick bite. Cake cutting, garter and bouquet tossing, and the exit through bubbles. It was a great wedding and one that I was proud to photograph. Thanks Terri for thinking of me.
