Beautiful Peacock

I love sessions that have personality and are fun. While each session in my opinion is fun and unique some are great.

A friend of mine had asked me to photograph her daughter in her Halloween costume. Sophia is a beautiful little girl. I have come to know her from Danny's class they have been in class together since 1st grade. Being in 3rd now, Sophia is used to seeing me with my camera. I always bring it to their classrooms for various events.

We decide that the Birmingham Botanical Gardens would be the perfect place to find a Peacock and it definitely was. With the many options for locations in the one location we were able to have a lot of fun and get many unique and fun shots of Miss Sophia.

The Peacock costume was so cute. Her mom is definitely more creative than I am. There was so much personality and character in the costume and it showed off Sophia's personality and amazing blue eyes so well.

I can honestly say I am not sure I have ever seen a prettier peacock!

Crystal at Crystal's Creations made me a customized BOO for Halloween. This is going to be one of my favorite Fall props for many years. Thank you Crystal!

Sophia was full of spunk, even though she had just returned from a girl scout camp out. She has a gorgeous smile and a great personality. She was so much fun to work with and I hope that I am able to work with her again.

Avery Lee

Meeting Avery Lee was a blessing in itself. Her mom Mary Lee is an amazing person as well. She was also very patient.

Avery was not very happy about getting her pictures done, expecially when the tutu was involved. She was not having it at all. We still managed a few cute pictures, and of course one with the tears flowing, it is a memory that will be cherished forever now. And will also get a few laughs as Avery grows.

Avery has some of the most amazing blue eyes (definitely inhherited from her mom). Photographing her in a blue band and flower were great as her eyes were truly popping.

Photographing babies is always a great experience. They all have so much personality and Avery was no exception. She was precious with a lot of personallity.

We took a few shots with her and the wreath that was made especially for her by Crystal of Crystal's Creations.

The session was just a great one overall. I hope that I have the opportunity to photograph her again. I know that she is going to grow into a beautiful little girl.

The Rainey Boys

Working with Joey and Nicki was a lot of fun! Brandon worked with Jennifer while she was at EWTN, and I am glad to be able to work with her and her family.

We were actually going to go to EWTN for the pictures, but received no reply with a yes or a no. It seems that it should be okay since there are pilgrims there all of the time with cameras. Maybe we will hear soon and it will add to my possible photography locations. We ended up choosing a classic, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

With the trees and some select flowers blooming it was a great location. The only downside was the rain the day before pretty much had everything saturated so ground shots were few and far between.

It took Joey a few minutes to warm up to the idea of being photographed but once he taught me how to smile we were on track. Joey is so precious with his dark curls and big brown eyes. Girls beware...he is going to be a heart breaker.

Nicki was ready to go when they arrived, well after his shoes were located! Anyone with children knows the fun age where they do not like and learn how to remove their shoes. His blond hair and blue eyes made him the cutest boy. He had the classic look and with those blue eyes the girls better watch out.

Jennifer and Travis were also in a few shots. Family photographs are always so much fun with a natural element instead of a stuffy studio. We found a great gazebo that worked perfectly and most importantly was dry!

I have to say this family was so much fun and so patient as I had both of my boys with me as well, which always makes for an interesting day at work. They have a hard time with the fact that this is my career! It was all in all a wonderful session.

If you want to have your children photographed in a natural location where they can run and have fun, let me know. I am here for all types of photography needs, in fact all of your photography needs. E-mail me at monicathach@gmail.com or call me at (205) 229-1865 and we will get you on the books! I even travel so do not think that you are too far away for an amazing experience.
